The goal of this fieldtrip was a collection of rock samples of basalts for thin-section preparation, petrological studies, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy-dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy Analyses to evaluate the potential of basaltic rocks for carbon mineralization process with CO2 from stationary sources.
