Research Interests

I am an observational seismologist interested in tectonics. I also use numerical simulations of seismic wave propagation run on high-performance computing to benchmark seismological observations.  I am currently working on projects aiming to image active faults and Earth’s structure in the Gulf of Aqaba, the Zabargad Fracture Zone, and the Harrat Lunayyir by using passive seismology datasets collected by temporary networks of broadband seismic stations (including Ocean Bottom Seismometers) that I designed, deployed and maintained.
